Hello Gang! I was told about this game from a friend of mine that attended E3. He explained it was like nothing else out there and after looking into it a little I agree. I figured I would register and get to know some of you a little. I like your page and the fact that you seem to have good organization. I come with a strong background in online gaming and know that without organization guilds are not successful. Let me get things rolling:
Name: (saving for the member area if we all agree I am a fit for your team)
Nickname: Cog
Age: Old
Ship's name: Fierce Resolve
Ship Class Desired: Heavy Sloop/Ketch or Xebec/Corvette
Profession: Pirate
Origin: Spain (if it matters)
Hours Played Per Week: 20+
Favorite Weapon: My Intelligence but when that fails as it often does my Flintlock
I have been playing online games since Ultima Online Beta and have never looked back. Over the years I have seen EQ, AC, DAoC, AC2, ShadowBane, City of Heroes and most recently World of Warcraft. In all the games I have played I think I enjoyed Dark Age of Camelot the most. I loved the PvP with a purpose rather than just to kill other players. Pirates of the Burning Sea is like no other game I have played and seems to have great promise. I hope to see the PvP implemented with checks and balances and work with friends I make within the game to achieve victory against enemy players. There is no greater challenge than the Human element.
My play style in fantasy type games has always been a scout or ranger type. As a Capt I would look for a lightly armored ship built for speed. I admit great ignorance in regards to this game and would enjoy chatting with all of you about it. Even something as simple as picking my ship has proven difficult. Hope to talk to everyone soon.
