A "Two Boxer" is a player with two machines, running different characters on each one, connected to the same server and using one character to help the other.
This could be useful in our situation.
While I am sure that they will take measures to keep the two boxers down to a minimum, there is a slightly different way to get around the problem.
Maybe this is an old idea, but it might work perfectly for our needs:
Not all members of the Black Fleet need to be pirates.
Whats stopping someone from being a British Naval officer and working his way up through the ranks while secretly being a member of the Black Fleet? This captain (mole, if you will) might be effective in making sure the more powerful ships get into the right hands (ours.)
I havent heard about any punishment a player would get for losing his ship over to the pirates, so it shouldnt be too difficult for the Navy captain to use Black Fleet funds to buy a Ship of the Line, then hand it over to the fleet without anyone knowing.
Of course, this is all future plans stuff, since R1 will have a simplified economy. This tactic will only be useful when the more complex economy is established, allowing guilds to have bank accounts.
I think our first priority for our members in the game is to start making money as quickly as possible. Once the economy changes and banks open, we can start dumping those funds intoa central account and start moving forward.
